The 2015 WGC – Cadillac Match Play will be held at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco, California. The tournament will begin at April 27th to May 3rd, this year. This is a relatively new venue that opened because of the Cadillac Match Play Event and we’re very excited to be talking about it. The Harding Park can be found at San Francisco, California. This park in specific is very unique because it belongs to the city, this course offers two incredible courses that are open to the public: the Harding Park golf course and the Fleming. Both of these courses represent a challenge for both the pros and the casual golfers.
The scenery in the park is jaw dropping, since there are towering Cypress trees and there is a small lake, called Merced. Harding Park was built 90 years ago. Yeah it’s that old, in actuality the park opened to the general public on July 18, 1925. And it was named after the 29th president of the United States of America.
The course covers 7,169 yards and 163 acre, the par is 72; the park peaked in popularity during the 20’s when it was finished, the designers of this park were Sam Whiting and Willie Watson but it sharply fell in popularity as time went by. On October 6th, 2005, though, the park bounced back while hosting WGC-American Express Championship, its first PGA Tour since 1969.
